A great day with a great horned owl

Seeing a wild Great Horned Owl is a beautiful experience. I feel lucky to have spent time with one today in Providence. Just me and the huge owl alone in the woods for an hour as the sun slowly set… incredible.

    Nice job Peter. An hour is a great long time with a bird. I am a wildlife film maker and work with a lot of birds including owls so I know the thrill you must have enjoyed. They often hang out in the same habitat for a while. Have you seen it there before. If you go back and see her there again let me know. Thanks, Gerry
